BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 31, 2008--CRA International, Inc.
(NASDAQ: CRAI), a worldwide leader in providing management, economics,
and financial consulting services, today announced that the Company
advised Shaw Communications Inc., one of Canada's leading
telecommunications companies, in the Canadian government's auction of
advanced wireless services (AWS) spectrum licenses for use by the
winning bidders to provide next-generation mobile devices and
services. The auction, which began in late May and ended on July 22,
2008, produced a successful result for Shaw.
CRA was retained by Shaw to advise on its participation in the
auction, including preparations leading up to the auction as well as
bidding advice during the auction. Shaw won spectrum licenses,
primarily in western Canadian provinces and northern Ontario, at
favorable prices relative to prices for other, comparable licenses. In
total, Shaw spent about CD$190 million.
